Instructions - Newton's Method Calculator

To use Newton's method to solve for the roots of an equation, you must make an initial guess to try and determine the root.

Enter your function in homogenous form (do not type the "= 0") and your initial guess in the spaces provided, and press the solve button.

Remember, nonlinear equations can have multiple (or no) roots. You may want to try a few different initial guesses for the root.
